The ReStore opened in 2006 to provide financial support to Habitat for Humanity. We are owned and operated by our affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee County. By shopping, donating or volunteering at the ReStore, you help families build better futures.

Shopping at the ReStore

Shopping at the ReStore is easy, and everyone is welcome! We are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am – 4:30 pm. Our friendly and helpful staff is ready to help you find whatever you need including furniture, appliances, cabinets, building materials, tools, windows, doors, housewares, flooring, tile, garden supplies, paint and supplies, plumbing, and more!

Making a Purchase

We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Debit Cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Items can also be purchased over the phone with a credit card. Call (517) 266-0746.
Purchased items can remain in the store until the close of business the following day.
The ReStore is not responsible for items that are not picked up at the time of purchase.
Items not picked up within allotted time will be returned to the sales floor and the customer’s purchase will become a monetary donation to support our mission. We do not give refunds or store credit for merchandise that is not picked up.
Veterans and Active Service Military, Seniors and Habitat partners all receive a 10% discount on purchases.
The ReStore does not accept deposits.
The ReStore does not offer layaway or holds on items.

Return Policy

Items can be returned within thirty (30) days of purchase for STORE CREDIT only.
STORE CREDIT is good forever.
STORE CREDIT cannot be used at other Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
You must have your original receipt at the time of return.

Donate to the ReStore

The ReStore keeps usable goods out of landfills. It offers excellent bargains and one-of-a-kind treasures to shoppers while supporting Habitat’s mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Items we accept

Appliances

Cooktops, Stoves, Ovens, Dishwashers, Dryers, Microwaves, Refrigerators, Washers

Must be in full working order, clean, and less than 15 years old

Cabinets

Sets, Singles, Vanities

Must be complete with all doors and drawers attached, no nails or screws sticking out; no cabinet parts (e.g. doors, drawers, etc.)
If painted: must be factory-quality paint/primed

Flooring

Tile, Carpeting, Rugs, Hardwood, Laminate, Vinyl, Granite, Marble

All flooring:
- Should be boxed or bundled. Original packaging is preferred.
- We do not accept items for recycling.
Tile:
- Must be unused.
Carpeting and area rugs:
- Must be NEW or LIKE NEW.
Hardwood/Laminate:
- Must be new or used, with no glue or nails.

Furniture

In good, resalable condition

No baby cribs or mattresses
No incomplete bed frames
Waterbed frames not accepted

For pickup donations, please note we cannot accept the following:

Large entertainment centers
Two-piece china hutches

Heating & Cooling

AC, Furnaces, Hot Water Heaters, Fans

Furnaces, ACs, and hot water heaters must be in good working order and less than 10 years old.

Insulation

Must be new and bagged

Landscaping & Lumber

Assorted lumber, brick, stone, cinderblock, lawn-care tools, slate, cultured stone, fencing

Bricks, stone, and cinderblock must be palletized for pick up
Must be clean of mortar
Wood must be 4′ in length or greater and free of nails

Lighting & Electrical

Lamps, Chandeliers, Ceiling Fans, Breakers, Conduits, Connectors, Fuses, Junction Boxes, etc.

No fluorescent bulbs or fixtures, and no track lighting

Mirrors

Must be framed

Plumbing

Bathtubs, Sinks, Faucets, Toilets, Bathroom Accessories, Shower Pans

Spotless/like new toilets must be 1.6 GPF or less. Must be complete and assembled with no wax ring. No used unattached toilet seats.
Bathtubs must be standard size (30”x60”). Can be jetted/Jacuzzi if standard size.
No cast iron tubs or kitchen sinks

Roofing

Minimum of 1 bundle in packaging

Sheet Goods (Plywood, OSB, Drywall, etc.)

Minimum ½ sheet (4’x4’)

Tools

Hand tools, power tools, bench tools
- Must be complete, in good condition and in full working order
- Please verify with store directly for any especially large tools

Windows & Doors

No flat-panel doors, shower doors, mirrored closet doors, or oversized doors (standard size is 80” tall)
If painted, must be factory-painted/factory-quality paint/primed
Patio/Sliding Glass doors must be vinyl clad only.
Blinds must be wood or faux wood
Windows must be vinyl and double-pane. Windows must be clean and intact (inserts in the frame, etc.)

Schedule a Pick-Up

The ReStore offers free pick up of donated items anywhere in Lenawee County.

Pick-up service is available Tuesday and Thursday. Please call (517) 266-0746 to make arrangements or complete our online pick-up form, and we will contact you to confirm.

Volunteer at the ReStore

Proceeds from the ReStore help cover Lenawee County Habitat’s administrative and fundraising expenses and provide funding for our building programs. This means volunteers are vital to ensure the ReStore remains a sustainable source of funding, allowing us to continue to serve more families in our community.
